In humans, taurine is claimed to improve memory and concentration, yet in studies conducted, taurine has been in the presence of caffeine and sugar, making it impossible to tell if it is effective or not. As John Lombardini, professor of pharmacology at Texas Tech remarked in Men's Health, 'They're crediting taurine with the benefits, but it could easily be the caffeine or something else.'
