Texas Tech Chancellor Kent Hance, visiting Amarillo earlier this week, is rightfully proud of the school's progress and hopes it climbs to the next level by reaching Tier I status, which will make Tech a premier research university. Hance noted that Tech's Health Sciences Center in Amarillo is as important to the university as it is to the community - and hopes for even greater things happening at the Amarillo campus in the years to come.
