Unusual birds moved in? Then prepare for a house price rise

The Telegraph – U.K.-Pleasant as the leafy suburb is, it's quite hard to quantify exactly what it is we like about it. Birds don't worry about such things – they know what they like, and vote with their feet (or wings anyway). This is demonstrated by a recent study in the city of Lubbock, Texas, published in the journal Urban Ecosystems. A team from Texas Tech University took the logical step of asking the question: if birds and people like the same kinds of neighbourhoods, can we link birds directly to house prices?
